Yes, but on the day registration fees are higher and you will need to be at the registration table at least 45 minutes prior to your start time at the latest so that you can complete an entry form and we can allocate you a ride/bib number. The best way to enter is prior to the event, online.
That depends on your fitness and experience levels. More experienced and fit riders may be able to complete the course in an hour; others may take 3 hours. Remember the aim is to enjoy yourself, so don’t worry about speeding to the finish line, and take time to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
Please aim to arrive half an hour before your Ride is scheduled to start. This will allow you time to collect your ride bib, warm-up and make your way to the start-line for your ride.
We suggest that you take only what you need for the ride – water, rain jacket, and a small amount of food. However, if you bring extra items, you can utilise our cloaking facilities - all items that are cloaked at the start-line will be delivered to the finish line and will be available for collection from the MSWA marquee. All care will be taken but we accept no responsibility for lost or damaged items.
We will have lots of volunteers and staff working along the route, as well as first aid personnel, who will be ready and happy to provide help to anyone who may feel ill or experience other difficulties. We recommend that you have your bike serviced before the ride and carry a puncture repair kit and pump. If your bike breaks down, turn your bike upside down and wait. If we cannot get you going again or you feel you cannot complete the ride, we have a bus and trailer that will collect you and your bike, and transport you to the finish site. Our support vehicles will be clearly marked with MSWA Albany Ride signage.
We have done everything possible to make the course safe.If you follow basic road safety rules, drink plenty of fluids and follow instructions from route marshals, you’ll have a safe and enjoyable ride.
We understand that some parents may feel their under children can ride these challenges comfortably and safely, however, we have to consider the impact this may have on safety in general. There are some important reasons why there age restircitions on the courses;
